Victorian era linen skirt in a beautiful cocoa shade of brown. Features an asymmetric hemline, (longer in the back than the front) with gathers/ smocking at the back waist; possibly made to be worn with a bustle, hence the extra length in back. One side pocket hidden at seam. Dark brown floral embroidery at hemline and a scalloped edge. Really stunning!
This skirt has multiple patches of subtle stains and a few darker ones that look like splatter spots. The skirt has been mended in several places, including the waistband and hemline. There are also a couple small holes along the length of the skirt and at pocket edges. See photos for more detail.
Looks like a modern extra small, please see measurements for best fit.
Measurements:
Waist: 26”
Hips: Free
Length: 45” at longest portion of hem
