Black Velvet Open Back Party Dress By Gunne Sax

This black halter dress has that little black swan feel to it, where it’s sleek and a little dramatic, but still really easy to wear. It has a deep neckline, a fitted waist, and a full skirt for maximum volume and movement. The velvet bodice is more defined, and the full skirt has a nice crisp feel to it, almost like taffeta. And then the lace underskirt adds a nice touch of delicacy and dimension to the dress. It feels really 90s minimal with a little touch of drama, like something out of an old movie that would be really cool for a night out. You could wear it with heels to make it dressier, or with boots and a jacket to make it more casual. 

This piece is in great vintage condition. The dress is marked a vintage size 6, but fits more like a modern XS/S. The fitted nature of the piece makes it more suitable for smaller frames. Please see measurements for best fit.
