
1920s chainmail purse in phenomenal condition. The bag was made by Whiting and Davis, who copied the clasp design from an earlier line they’d commissioned from Pierre Poirot. The chainmail Is of tiny Interlocking rings and has been hand painted with a rainbow colored peacock.
The top is gold-toned with a checkerboard pattern.. The Silk lining Is still there but has some wear, to be expected. There is a 1 1/2” pointed “fringe” on the bottom.
