This stunning 1940s ruby floor length gown is an absolute show stopping vintage piece. The dress is made from a slinky crepe, has short sleeves, and a sweetheart neckline. There's intricate pin tucks around the bust and shoulders that gives the bodice a bit of texture, and a metal zipper on the side. The crepe is cut on the bias which allows for the fabric to stretch a bit and cling to the body. We adore the open back on this gown.
There is no fabric label, it could be either silk or rayon. Note: there is a very small pin hole in the skirt (see photo), but otherwise it is in great condition. This dress would likely work best on a modern size Small but please see the measurements below for best fit.
